




East Houston Street
This $54 million NYCDDC project focused on the locations of Bowery to the FDR Drive and included the installation of trunk water mains, distribution water mains, combined sewers, catch basins, catch basin connections, granite curb, sidewalk, center median mall, concrete base, asphaltic concrete wearing course, fire alarms, street lighting, traffic signals and Green Streets. In addition to the city work there were numerous private utilities that were relocated to make way for the city infrastructure.

Work Completed Includes:
- Installation of 30”, 36” & 48” steel trunk water main
- Installation of 24” DIP water main manifold
- Installation of 12” & 20” DIP distribution water main
- Placement of 3” ACWC on 10” concrete base
- Construction of granite curb and 4” & 7” concrete sidewalk
- Construction of center median wall – self consolidating concrete
- Installation of traffic signals and street lights
- Complete Green Streets – granite pavers and landscaping
- Relocation and support of ECS and ConEd facilities
