Acacia Avenue

The scope of this $25 million NYCDDC project was for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers and appurtenances, including distribution water main work in Acacia Avenue, Staten Island.  Additionally, this project includes Best Management Practices (BMP) work inside Wood Duck Pond, to eliminate severe flooding in the area and promote environmentally-friendly recharge of storm water.

Work Completed Includes:

- Installation of approx. 10,300 linear feet of water mains, 8" to 20"

- Installation of approx. 7,500 feet of 10" pipe for ESVP sanitary sewers  

- Installation of 12" and 15" ESVP storm sewers 

- Installation of 18" ESVP storm sewers, encased in concrete

- Installation of 38" W x 24" H HRCP storm sewers

- Installation of 38" W x 24" H HEPRCP storm sewers

- Installation of 24" RCP storm sewers

- Installation of 36" RCP storm sewers
